Import/export developer profile for ios

Importing Your Signing Identities and Provisioning Profiles

Place your code signing assets on a new Mac by importing the code signing assets exported from another Mac.

  1. In the Xcode Preferences window, click Accounts.
  2. Click the Action button (the gear icon) in the lower-left corner.
  3. Select Import Accounts from the pop-up menu.
  4. Locate and select the file containing your developer profile.

The file should have a .developerprofile extension.

  5. Enter the password you used to encrypt the file, and click Open.

The importation process installs the certificates, private keys, and provisioning profiles that are stored in the developer-profile file.

Exporting Your Signing Identities and Provisioning Profiles

Archive your code signing assets to keep them safe or to use them on another Mac.

  1. In the Xcode Preferences window, click Accounts.
  2. Click the Action button (to the right of the minus button) in the lower-left corner.
  3. Select Export Accounts from the pop-up menu.
  4. Enter a password in the Password and Verify fields.

The file is encrypted and password protected.

  5. Click Save.

The file is saved to the location you specified with a .developerprofile extension.

The file produced contains the items you need to code sign apps, including the provisioning profiles, certificates, and private keys needed to run apps on a device.

Because it contains sensitive information that can be used to sign apps in your name, the contents of the file are stored in an encrypted format using the password you provide. That password is required later to import the file to another system.
